RE: Help! 12 V water pump won't turn on!

Hurricaner,
I did have the fuse removed from the panel when testing it. I have just enough electical experience to be dangerous! I have never seen a fuse that ohm'd good when it was bad tho. It visually looked fine too. It sure was the culprit in the end.
Thanks

RE: TV Antenna

I replaced the worm gear & shaft assembly and the crank handle on mine about a year ago. Bought the parts at the local RV parts store.
Had to do part of the work from the roof but it was not difficult. Just take it apart & reassemble in reverse order. Shaft has to be cut to the proper length for your MH. A hacksaw works fine.
Good luck!

RE: Help! 12 V water pump won't turn on!

Thanks to all who replied to my plea for Help!
Just wanted to let you know that it turned out to be the 7.5 amp fuse in the 12 V fuse panel. It ohm'ed as a good fuse even when isolated from the circuit, but didn't allow voltage to pass thru. I discovered that after much frustrating troubleshooting elsewhere in the system. As suspected, the pump had been upgraded so I put in a 10 A fuse and everything is working great!
Happy Camping to all!

Help! 12 V water pump won't turn on!

We have an 01 Fleetwood Southwind 36T. The onboard water pump can be turned on/off at 3 switches. Kitchen, bathroom & utility bay outside. The pump suddenly stopped working. It will not turn on from any switch. The 7.5 amp fuse in the 12 V fuse panel tests good. Schematics show a W/P Controller, but I don't know where to look or what to look for. Could it be an inline fuse somewhere or the pump motor simply quit?
Please point me in the right direction to trace this problem.
